There are so many things that you can do with your buddies, including participating in a colorfully wild obstacle course like those in Buddy Blitz. Did you ever see those blank big-headed models that you could decorate with a marker? Well, the cousins of those things have come to life and have decided to participate in a variety of weird competitions. To join, you just need to be willing to run, jump, dive, and get knocked around while hopefully still having enough strength to get up. If you have all that going for you, then there's a chance that you'll make it to the finish line.

Obstacle courses have been popular on game shows and in video games for a long time because they're fun to watch and we all think we can do them. This game is another one where you can try to prove your prowess. Skill comes into play, but even the most patient and careful competitors have the same chance to win as the hardcore runners. Of course, slow and steady may not always win the race and you'll need to throw yourself into it for chase to get ahead. Or you can just get knocked around and have a fun time rolling.

How to Play

Controls

The goal is to reach the finish line at the end of the course. Each course has checkpoints which are defined by non-descript safe areas. There are times when you can fall off the track and you'll respawn at the last checkpoint you reached. However, there are also areas where you'll simply drop into a pit below and have to climb back out. The contest can happen over multiple rounds based on how many players are involved with a few being eliminated every round.

Before the game begins, you can explore the lobby area to try out movements and experience some of the different contraptions you'll encounter. You can also give your buddy different cosmetics to help them stand out by using the rewards gained from competing. Once you're all set, you can join a game and wait for other players. After some time, the game will begin and a random course will be selected. After it loads, you and your rivals will spawn in a group at the start of the course and then be let loose. There are no items to help you, you have to rely solely on your skills and navigation.

The number of competitors that can qualify is shown at the top of the screen. If you don't finish fast enough to grab one of the spots, you'll be eliminated and have to wait until the next competition.

Tips and Tricks

This is a ragdoll platforming game where your buddy is not the most coordinated figure. As such, you need to make consistent and steady movements to ensure that you make progress. Avoid other players to minimize slipping up and try to line up your pace with the timing of the obstacles.
